Do you know who invented the Barbie doll? Ruth Handler, one of the co founders of Mattel, invented the Barbie doll in 1959. She was named after her daughter Barbara and was introduced in a toy fair in New York City.

Later different barbies were created for the different disney movies or special showsw. For example the barbie of swan lake came out as a representation of the ballet swan lake.
The first Barbie car appeared in 1962 and was an Austin Healy. That is an interesting first car, no? Barbie furniture consists of every type imaginable. There is the popular outdoor furniture, the furniture for her mobile home, and when she gets into a swanky mood, her furniture for her penthouse. Mattel has also made a few Barbie games to go with the Barbie collection.
