Water heater issues again! Its Wednesday and for the second time this week you need to go light the pilot light on your water heater or take a cold shower and deal with it when you get home. Sounds like you are having instant hot water heater problems I know duh!
However when you decide to fix the problem you may find there are a lot more choices for water heaters now then when you bought the old one with water heater repair being one option but by no means the only one.
What, you ask, a water heater is a water heater right. Not any more, you can just replace the one you have with the exact same one and not worry about water heater plumbing needing to be redone or you may chose a water heater replacement option or upgrade. Of course you can get a solar water heater that has been available for years and as great as they are for utility bills some people are not comfortable relying on the sun for what ever reason. Another new option is the instant hot water heater or a tankless hot water heater.
The Bosch tankless water heater, for example, can be mounted in the bathroom on the wall and instead of reheating the same water over and over causing the settlement problems that traditional water heater plumbing has. The tankless heater heats water as it runs through the coils of the heater comes out hot and stops as soon as you turn off the water. These have been used in Europe for decades.
Of course you may also just do a simple water heater replacement but upgrade to a commercial water heater size if you have a large family or down grade if you are single and living in a small home. Like I said a lot of choices of commercial water heater are available now.
