Unless you are really disciplined and educated about nutrition, the chances are that most people need a good vitamin mineral supplement.
What I mean by "good" is that the vitamins and minerals have to be as natural as possible in order to get assimilated properly by the body. Otherwise, it will just go from one end to the other without effects or even worse maybe clog some of your vital organs.
In general most people need vitamin supplements every day. The one I believe is the best, is a powder to blend with juice or water. Normally made of dehydrated fruits, vegetables and healing herbs. A tablespoon is approximately equivalent to 7 servings of vegetables.
Most people need as well some extra omega; fish oil is great but we can find some omega in other food sources such as in cold pressed vegetable oils. When my budget is tighter I buy linseeds, grind them and sparkle them over my cereals or meals.
I only buy my supplements from a health food store where they are of better quality and the staffs are in general very knowledgeable about their products. They will recommend you the best vitamin food for you.

I'm always confused in the vitamin aisle. How many is too many vitamins? Is a multi-vitamin enough?
