Vegetarianism consists in not consuming any meat coming from animals. Some vegetarians do not even eat animal-derived products such as yogurt, milk or eggs. It is possible to eat healthy and balanced if you follow vegetarian diets. In fact, the vegetarian food guide proposes to eat Whole Grain products such as wheat, corn, bread, pasta, etc. It is important to choose whole grain or whole wheat products, Legumes (beans, tofu, soy), Vegetables and Fruits, Nuts and Seeds, Vegetable Oils, low-fat Dairy Products, Eggs, and sometimes, Sweets.

Following a vegetarian diet plan is the key to live a healthy life. It is great to know that you can plan your meals and eat what you want, in moderation of course. If you think vegetarians lack some nutrients, let me tell you that tofu is full of proteins and vitamins, fruits and vegetables are full of fiber, nuts are good sources of good fat, etc. Vegetarian weight loss plans suggest you to eat between 350 and 450 calories for breakfast, lunches and dinners between 400 and 500 calories and snacks, between 100 and 200 calories.

If you are interested in becoming a vegetarian, plenty of easy vegetarian recipes are available on the Internet. You can find recipes of salads, soups, omelettes, burgers, muffins or pizzas!
