Surgeons used to be thought of as intelligent, serious highly private individuals. But, today they have become Hollywood celebrities! How is that, you say?
Have you ever watched the surgeon programs on television. The ones about plastic surgery, sports medicine, and even internal medicine. You know the programs with the breast lift, or the breast reduction. The show goes into great detail and even shows you the before and after pictures.There seem to even be competitions as to who is the best plastic surgeon. What is the reason for these shows?Are they informative programs or just long sales ads so that women can see how surgery is not that big a deal. The programs dealing with internal medicine which is the study of ...... are cool. They are informative and even interesting. It's interesting when a doctor finds a case he has never seen before. The only problem with this type of show is that it let's the public in general know how doctors don't have an answer for every type of illness. The most interesting type of medicine is that of internal medicine, sports medicine, even orthopaedic surgeons are interesting. But unless it is absolutely necessary, plastic surgery is superfluous.
