Soybeans can be cook just like regular beans and serve in a salad,or part of a meatless stew. When a soybean is fermented, it becomes a curd that is pressed (it looks like a block of white cheese), called tofu. The liquid becomes a soy milk. An other similar process gives tempey, which has a different texture similar to a steak and a stronger taste.
Keep the block of tofu, once out of the bag submerged in water that you need to change every day, with that technique you can keep it refrigerated longer.Concerning the art of cooking soy, just find recipes and experiment.
Until you find out how to prepare tofu, you can get some already processed looking and tasting like burger, salami, ground meat(excellent with pastas), cheese, hot-dogs and breakfast sausages.
Also, there are soy pasta , cheese, milk and chips. The hydrogenized oil gives ingredient to a toxin free soy wax candles. Soybeans are produced at a lower cost than meat, therefore a soy product is really affordable. Full of proteins like meat but without the fat, it becomes a great alternative a few times a week. I call it superfood.
