Sharks are the kings of the ocean and the dreaded enemy of seafarers. There are many types of sharks in san jose, the most dangerous and feared being the great white sharks. The great white shark has only two enemies man and another a fish called Orcas or killer whale. The movie Jaws is based on the ferocity of the great white shark attacks. It grows large and can be as long as six meters long. The tiger shark comes second to the great white in the danger level. It is ferocious hunter and eats anything in its proximity, including debris in the ocean even metal and plastic waste. Shark bodies have light cartilage not bone that helps with buoyancy and is flexible. Shark fishing was of course big business in the earlier part of the last and 19th century both for its oil and meat. Many tales exist of how dangerous a mission it was but it never stopped those dreaming to be rich. A brand of vacuum cleaners, shark vacuum sought to use the reference of the power of the shark to sell itself and it seems to be working.
