Russia, currently known as the Russian Federation, is considered the largest country in the world, spanning more than an eigth of the world's mass area. Since the establishment of the Russian Empire in the 18th Century, and the country's role as the power stronghold of the Soviet Union, Russia has been considered one of the world's superpowers, and has remained the largest socialist state in the modern world. The history of Russia has been a rollercoaster ride of Vikings, Tzars, and nuclear weapons, and has continued to serve as one of the most interesting historical specimens to this day.

Russia's capital city is Moscow. Moscow is the largest city in all of Europe, and it is well known for its natural landmarks, and its breathtaking architecture. There are over ninety parks located in the city, and four botanical gardens, making it one of the greenest cities in Europe. Architectural wonders in Moscow, are not hard to come across while walking around the city. The Red Square in Russia, holding the palaces of the Kremlin, St Basil's cathedral, and Lenin's mausoleum, in which Vladimir Lenin's body is kept and displayed, is arguably one of the most magnificent architectural wonders of the world.

Russians themselves, have always been considered scholars and academics, and have excelled in both the arts, and the sciences throughout history. Russian writers, such as Dostoevsky, known as the founder of existentialism by many, and Peter Kapitza, a Nobel prize winner in Physics, are examples of the great academic prowess that Russians have always been famous for. All in all, Russia is a country that does not leave much to be desired.
