For any of you who have experienced growing up in the very early 1960's, you can surely remember all the various rock & roll toys our heros provided for us. The Beatles wigs, guitars, cards, records, tote bags, the list is virtually endless.
Our favorite rock & roll bands & singers, Elvis Presley recreated in a little doll. Elvis Presley guitars, hats, shoes, shirts, pants & so on. Mass production was operating in full force & there was almost nothing that was not produced for popular rock & roll personalities. It was a time of great production & collecting.
Beatlemania just made a lot more toys available to a lot more people. Beatle cards were produced by the millions, as were pinbacks, magazines, drum sets, bongos, sneakers, & almost every kid had one souvenir or another from one of their idols.
Today many of these 1960's toys are very difficult to locate. Many of the paper items have simply disappeared & can no longer be had. Those that have been protected over the years have gained some value.
John, Paul, George, & Ringo, of The Beatles have appeared on so many items that they can be located quite easily. There were millions of Beatles dolls manufactured back in the 1960's. They made so many records & were around for so long that there are a lot of collectibles still available.
After the 1960's Rock & Roll toys would never be the same again. The Beatles & Elvis & others changed the toy scene & added Rock & Roll to the mix! And it worked well!
