Recycling is a process’ innovation which application, if extended to all human practices and habits that pruduce pollution - given the products we use to accomplish them (cigarettes, for the habit of smoking; plastic bottles, for the habit of drinking some soda, and so on) – can help to solve the current problem of waste and garbage that affects several cities on the world.
There are some cities in Spain in which the electricity that lights the streetlamps comes from garbage recycling. Paper is among other substances that have been used to produce different new objects, and paper recycling has taught a lot about the way the material can be used without taking more resources from Earth. Nevertheless, the Amazonian forest falls daily, in order to produce wood, paper, medicines and other things to our markets.
Some european comunities have recognized that they can act to protect the Earth by setting a recycling container for every single thing that can be recycled. There is one for cell phone recycling and one for cristal recycling, plastic, paper, tissue; they have placed recycling containers everywhere in town, and an industry of recycling has bloomed, which means that there is another sort of productive activities that have been created.
And nowadays, when technologies of information and communication have set feet over new growing markets, the electronic waste has begun to be considered as a very usefull recycling material, and electronics recycling keeps today firms busy, even gold dealers, platinum dealers, silver... they benefit from recycling. Recycling benefits us all!
