Quebec city is more than a touristic destination

Montreal and Quebec, in Quebec, Canada are cities that have to be visited at least once in your life. Montreal is more cosmopolitan than Quebec, but the latter is very charming due to its history.

Quebec City is known in French as Ville de Québec. Around 500 000 inhabitants live there. It takes 3 hours in car from Montreal to arrive in Quebec City. There are plenty of hotels in Quebec; I strongly suggest you to choose one located on the Laurier blvd because you will not be far from the Old Quebec and hotels there are much cheaper than in touristic areas of the town.

The thing that you must visit is, indeed, the Old Quebec. It is where the city started. There, you can find the Chateau Frontenac, the Abraham Plains, museums, little souvenir shops, fine restaurants and bars. Even residents enjoy this place; I, myself, love it!

Quebec is also a great place to ski. Because of its cold weather, there are plenty of snow during winter. Also, Mount Ste-Anne and Stoneham are two ski stations close-by the town. Both places are very beautiful.

Finally, if you want to plan your holidays in Quebec City, the tourism Quebec website is a good tool.
