Prius Still Leads The Pack In Hybrid Cars

Prius cars will go down in history as one of the most innovative autos ever produced. Prius was Toyota's answer to the craze for hybrids, a craze that was created by ordinary people who wanted to drive cars that would harm the environment less, and legislators who realized the importance of clamping down on gas guzzlers. Toyota took up the challenge, and the 2005 Prius outsold all the other hybrid cars during that year and then some. In styling, comfort and fuel efficiency, nothing could match the Prius hybrid car. It is no exaggeration to say that when people hear the word Prius, they think hybrid.

The public wondered if the 2006 Prius could be any better than the 2005 version, and it was. The new Prius simply flew off the showroom floors. There also developed a healthy market for pre owned prius cars, and today a used Prius can cost nearly as much as a new one. That is a huge feather in the cap of Toyota. Prius cars are probably the most popular in California, USA, one of the most air polluted placed in North America. The 2008 Prius was more fuel efficient than any passenger hybrid ever, and earned huge kudos for that.

Read any Prius review and you will hear Prius owners say that a hybrid runs just as well as a gas car, that they save money on fuel and that they would own a Prius any time again. That is why we can look forward to many years of Prius models.
