In the Altai Mountains, Archaeologists found a Persian rug that was likely weaved 2500 years ago... Maybe from the same batch as Aladdin's flying carpet... who knows? Rugs don't fly anymore, but they remain the most useful and versatile element in home decoration. Colorful throw rugs will change the look of any room and come in a variety of shapes to suit every corner of the house. Round rugs will enhance dining space and living room while an octagonal one will add dimensions to a square area. To transform the den in the basement without spending too much money, one will favor the many styles of cheap rugs to be found in stores or on the Web. For entrances and any busy areas, jute rugs are the answer and the luscious Persian silk rugs always find their place in our bedrooms. Rugs are for beauty, but also for safety, bath rugs, in an array of shapes and colors, will keep us from breaking our neck when stepping out of the tub. In every culture, rugs are synonym to warmth and comfort; either those delicately weaved to dress a wall, or the deep floor rugs to lie on at night.
