Robert Redford and Paul Newman were the first lead man in film industry, the precursors of meet talent and beauty. Much later will appeared George Clooney and Brad Pitt to take its place. But the two blond men were the most successful in films, for whom the women sigh and men admired.

The Paul Newman films can be classified into those that he was a producer and the ones that he performed. In the first group are Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Empire Falls (where he was also the protagonist), They Might Be Giants, and others. And some Paul Newman movies where he was the protagonist (the list is even longer): The Rack, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Towering Inferno, The Verdict, Nobody's Fool, From the Terrace and hundreds of films for cinema and television.

In personal life, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, his second wife, spent the last days of the actor's life together, when he was diagnosed with lung cancer and decided to be with his family until September 26, 2008, when he died surrounded by his loved ones.
