Have you recently gone to an art fair to look for original art work. At an art fair People stroll in and out of the stands and there is usually a band that plays greatest hits from the eighties and nineties, or sometimes even a jazz band. There are usually around 200 artists that exhibit their fine art. Everything from contemporary art to the work of very good portrait artists. Many artists like the self portrait, they paint their emotions and feelings through their self portraits, but some of their portraits seem very poignant and sort of lonely. Fairs take place in the downtown areas of very small touristy towns. Some of the paintings are originals and others are limited reproductions. That means the artist has reproduced or copied a limited number of pieces of the art work. There is usually a little art gallery, somewhere in that downtown area as well that people take advantage of and visit since they are at an art fair anyway. At these small galleries and fairs you can find landscape artists as well that specialize in seascape scenes. Some of these paintings can be quieted expensive but others are affordable as well. Some painters use places from their place of origin as inspiration and others prefer to visit foreign lands and place the country of origin on the description of their pieces, as one I found the other day stated country of origin: Greece.
