Omega 3 fatty acid is essential to the human body because it is not manufactured by the human body. That is why it must be obtained by food. Polyunsaturated fatty acids plays a big role in the brain function as well as growth and development.

Omega 3 essential fatty acids include the a-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Benefits of omega 3 fatty acids include a higher good cholesterol level, lower blood pressure, prevention of heart diseases, protection against strokes, weight loss, reduction of arthritis and osteoroposis, prevention of depression. It also prevents some types of cancer such as breast cancer or colon cancer.

Sources of omega 3 fatty acids include flaxseeds, walnuts, salmon, soybeans, halibut, shrimps and tofu.

As for omega fish oil, it comes from the tissues of fatty fish. Omega fish oil is good for your heart, mind and joints. It has been used to threat all kind of diseases from arthritis to eczema and it can prevent certain types of cancer.

As you can see, omega 3 fatty acids are part of an healthy diet.
