NHL hockey has always been the number one sport followed by a vast majority of Canadians. Fans from across the country like their local teams and some will go so far as to buy an NHL hockey jersey representing their favorite team. The Ottawa Senators hockey team have been one of the top teams in Canada for the last few years but have yet to win the coveted Stanley cup, and it is not for lack of trying. The Toronto Maple Leafs hockey club has won it a few times but it's been quite a while since fans have seen it done(1967 to be exact). As kids, a lot young fans would trade NHL hockey cards with one another, and some of those cards are now worth a lot of money. The NHL all time favorite is probably Wayne Gretzky who won many Stanley cups and still holds many records, and many might not ever be broken. Wayne Gretzky hockey fans were saddened when he retired from hockey after such a glorious career, and many wonder if they'll ever see a hockey player like him again.
