Newborns eventually come home. After 9 long months of preparing to bring your newborn home, the time has finally come and gone. All the visitors have left and you and your tiny addition are finally alone to adjust. Don't panic, newborn babies are not as breakable as you think.
The great news is that there is plenty of great newborn stuff to help you get through the next few days, weeks and months.
Newborn baby care starts first with love and moves to the feeding, changing of diapers and of course being in awe of the miracle in front of you. As you have noticed, newborns sleep most of the time and this is a great time to get all the newborn pictures you can because each day little things change and as much as you remember today in 5 years there will be plenty to replace it so put it on film.
Other newborn baby care that is just as important to remember is the newborn support needed for the head and neck. Remember how it feels to relax in the pool and think of the fact that is the only thing they know.
Out of all the newborn products that you probably have from the many trips to the store and baby showers, one of the most important is probably the newborn pacifiers that came home with you from the hospital. A word of warning if you have a dog they will try to steal these so keep track of them, closely.
Last but not least as a recovering mom, when your newborns sleep, so do you. Even if this is just an hour here or there, you need that time to unwind also. As for showering it may be hard but try to schedule this in for yourself also, everyone will thank you for it.
