New Years resolution are nothing for most of us and breaking them is nothing new either. If you are lucky you are still sticking along with yours. If not then you may not even remember what it was in the first place that you resolved to do differently.
Making a new year's resolution is one thing. The worst mistake is to make it in the middle of all the excitement of ‘wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year’. If you partake you are probably so high you do not know what you are taking about. One rule I use is not to announce my new year resolution so that if I fail then I am not answerable to anyone else, because announcing them to others is like inviting them to judge and correct you should you fail.
Not to despair if you announced you new year's resolution to a room full of your friends during new years celebration, rest assured that you at least have a reason to succeed and not fail your friends. And I hope that it is a resolution you can actually achieve. So did you promise to lose weight, stop smoking, go back to school, learn a new game, travel to a new continent, or get married at your New Years Eve party in Montreal? If it was anything in that list there is nothing outrageous -they are all pretty achievable but take stock and see where you stand at the end of the first month of the year..Happy New Year 2010 in advance.!!!
