Many people love a good myth. A love of myths begins for most people while they are in college when they take courses about ancient Rome and Greece and mythology. Many kids hate the idea of studying about ancient civilizations, but after taking it they are truly glad they took the course, because right there and then they begin a true love affair with ancient Greek mythology. History becomes real through mythology. You can imagine what the people who could tell these wonderful stories were like, through these ancient myths. You can even start relating ancient Greek myths with Native American myth and you will find many similarities. Even many of today’s urban myths and books and movies are actually based on ancient mythology. For example: Jackie chan the myth has become a myth because his movies are generally based on Chinese mythology. There seem to be many people that are interested in mythology or at least are attracted to it. Otherwise we would not see so many pictures of characters or ancient Greek mythology gods. There wouldn’t be so much myth tv or cartoons that are based on mythology. Even computer games and video games are based on ancient Greek myths. It is astounding to actually see how much of our modern world is influenced by our ancient one.
