There are as many different models of measurement, as there are things to measure. Everything we see around us is measurable. So we can truly say that, measurement is in the eye of the beholder. What do I mean by that? Today we can say that there are many different models for different types of measurement. We can measure anything from how intellingent a person is to how many red or white blood cells a person has. Well how you read a measurement depends on what you are measuring. There are different ways of measuring say, body fat, than, measuring the ingredients for a pie or cake. One you measure with a tape measurer, and you have to know how to read a tape measure to do that, and the other you measure with measuring cups.
Performance measurement is another form of measurement it is done with measuring tools that measure the progress toward specific results that are the outcome of specific actions. Businesses usually use this type of measurement to measure their progress throughout the year.
In the medical field still another form of measurement is done. One of those is called the x ray, and still another is temperature measurement done with a thermometer.
