Bruce McLaren was a New Zealander and known widely as mclaren formula one constructor. He had competed in the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race and Canadian-American Challenge Cup. mclaren cars re-christened as McLaren Automotive is an English automaker established in the year 1989. They manufacture McLaren cars based on Formula One technology. They work closely with the Team McLaren Formula One constructor and is part of the McLaren Group.

The mclaren f 1 was designed and produced by McLaren Automotive who own the mclaren formula 1 team. The car features a 6.1-litre 60° BMW S70 V12 engine and it was conceived as the dream road car by its designer Gordon Murray who also designed some very competitive f1 racing cars for McLaren. For a period of more than a decade, the McLaren F1 was the fastest street legal production car in the world.

The company built only five mclaren f1 lm (LM representing Le Mans) in honor of the five maclaren f1 GTR which finished the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1995 including the overall win. The weight was reduced by approximately 75 kg through the removal of various optional pieces. The car also had a transaxle and aerodynamic changes, redesigned magnesium alloy wheels and upgraded gearbox.
