Lupus, a very serious disease

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease, meaning that the immune system attacks the body, producing inflammation and cellular damage, which can affect any part of the body, although it is very common in lupus patient that the disease affected the heart, lungs, liver, kidney, skin, joints, blood vessels and nervous system. Although there is still no definitive treatment for lupus there are different drugs that help the patient and deflate tissues, minimizing the damage and health complications. But the most complex scenario from the patients with this disease is lupus Nephritis, which is one of the most severe cases that lupus patients can suffer.

This disease has no cure, but can be treated and controlled with really good results for the patients, however the lupus medical research continues thanks to the contribution of scientists and the Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org. And, in the other hand, one of the most famous cases of patients recovery can achieve is the singer Seal, who suffers from the disease but thanks to treatment he has a normal life with no complications.
