It's what dictionaries call a pop culture phenomenon, and the fact that the adventures of the Lost characters are topics of conversation around the coffee machine or at the diner table undoubtedly prove the status of the series. Every fall, for the last four years, devoted fans eagerly awaited the Lost season premier, and would go to extremes not to miss the Lost season finale. It's more than a fad, it's a passion, and it triggered a whole range of derived products, from Lost games to comic books, even commercials reckoned on the show popularity.
And of course, since this is the age of the internet, Lost is everywhere on the web; not only on the Lost official website but on countless others, focusing on characters, storyline, anything to feed the fans' hunger for all Lost TV show secrets and behind the scene gossips.
Since May of this year it's official that ABC's Lost will continue for three more seasons, with the last episode to air in May 2010. Will it be the end of the story? Or the beginning of sequels? It may well be the last, if the Lost ratings keep soaring until then.
