Liverpool is an important city in the North West part of England.
The official website of the Liverpool tourism industry can be found at this address:(http://www.visitliverpool.com/). The website explains that the year 2007 actually celebrates the city's 800th anniversary. It also declares that Liverpool was named the 2008 European Capital of Culture. The city has many tourist attractions to offer. After landing at the Liverpool airport, tourists can visit the city's beautiful cathedrals, take a ferry on the beautiful Mersey River, visit the amazing city centre, and then spend the night in one of the many hotels in Liverpool.
An important cultural aspect of Liverpool is their sports; they take their football team very seriously. Their official website boasts that the Liverpool soccer team have won the European Championship five times. In addition to their soccer reputation, Liverpool houses a district called Southport, which has been named England's Golfing Capital on England's Golf Coast. Southport contains an impressive 15 golf courses, 6 of which are championship standard.
Liverpool is seemingly a very interesting place to visit while in Europe. For more information about this city, I would recommend visiting the official tourism website.

Study of the lake as it's waiting to be cleaned. I can't believe the things people actually put in there. Taken with my beloved Canon 350D.
