Five years ago, before I had my first child, I had a laser eye surgery in vancouver and I did recover pretty well. My husband had a laser hair removal in toronto and he feels better with himself. I've been wanting to try this one for a couple of days, but I didn't think I had the time. In actuality it took me about 10 minutes of playing with my camera to get a long enough exposure time (8 seconds) and zipping a laser pointer across my face. Only got it in my eye a couple of times too! I guess I was expecting more trouble with the ISO settings and what-not.
Ummm....not much of a Mother's Day theme though.....but then not much I can come up with for Mother's Day at 11:00pm either.
We did go see Speed Racer today, that was what Gretchen wanted to do for her Mother's Day. I wasn't really expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not the best movie ever, but I had a good time.
I wish I could do something more for my Mom though. We moved further away by coming to Wisconsin, and today would have been she and my Dad's 40th wedding anniversary. I know she misses him a lot (so do I), and I wish we could have been with her today, just so Thalia could have made her laugh today.

I lit the same bell flower with the green laser instead of the white LED's, with weird effect. Not quite as pretty, but the full-size laser speckle and stamen detail are decent.
