Your childs' bedtime is very important for their overall health as well as for their performance in school! That is why it is very important that you take control of your kids' bedtime! When it comes to your childs' bedtime you should choose a bedtime that is within a reasonable time. For instance, a very young child or infant should go to bed around 7 o' clock. A child that is a toddler should go to bed around 7:30 or 7:45. Older children should be in bed anywhere from 8 to 9 at night.
One way that you can stay on top of your kids' bedtime is to set a time that is earlier so that you can be sure that your child is in bed at a reasonable time. For instance, if you make your kids' bedtime be 8:15 then you can make sure that they are in bed by 8:30. With children you will need those few extra minutes. That way you will not feel that you have to rush your child off into bed just to meet bedtime. Kids need a little extra time.
At bedtime try to read to your child. Also, having them bathe at night is a great way to help them relax before they are headed off to bed. You should also try to have your child start doing quiet activities before they are going to bed. That way at bedtime they will be able to fall asleep right away!
