Jewish culture has contributed many things to humanity. The origins of this wonderful culture is considered to be around 1800 before christ. Jewis history is noted in the bible to state that it was around that date but earliest archaelogical records can only be found dating as far back as 1200 B.C.
The jewish community has the advantage that because it is such an old culture. They are a nation, a culture, and a religion. In other words there are jewish people that consider themselves to be jewish becuase they are descendants of jewish people but don't necesarily adhere to the jewish faith.
Today a jewish marriage may be an interfaithal or inter racial marriage and the children of such marriages consider themselved to be culturally jewish. there are also people that decide to become jewish and change their religious faith either for reasons of marriage or for faith.
The jewish community has made many contributions in art and in jewish music to us. We should be proud to have them as part of our society. If you have never been to a jewish wedding, you should try to see one they are quite interesting.
Some jewish people take their faith quite seriously and refuse to marry outside of their faith. They rely on social events set up by their temple for things like jewish dating. jewish singles also meet through other people within their community. jewish communities are very tightly knit and everyone knows every one else's family.
