Wearing a favorite team jersey is a sign of allegiance, respect and a fashion statement. Nba jerseys, football jerseys, and ncaa basketball jerseys are a few among the plethora of professional sporting merchandise. The jersey you buy is a sign of respect and team support, but they are also a market ploy to get as much money for your support as anything else. When somebody thinks of their favorite team or player in the sporting world, the goals and politics of the business are seldom what comes to mind. Thats the way the team business owners would like it. However, the merchandise they push is made in an effort to mark up prices and sell, sell, sell to the consumer who is more concerned with the people on the team. Often too, teams are switching their team logo to create a whole new line of jersey for the supportive fan to buy up. Everybody wants the authentic jersey of the team, but not if its the jersey that was worn by the team for a couple of years. The Buffalo Sabres adopted a logo that lasted for only a few years, then moved on to another thing. Some teams treat their logos as religion, like the Montreal Canadian to name one. That hockey jersey means a lot more to the fan base then does one of a team which is just a passing marketing ploy.

Our friend from Ohio had his first experience on an East Coast boardwalk last night. He enjoyed some of the rides and loved the overall atmosphere...fog and all.

The sea fog had been roiling over our heads for most of the day Sunday...really looked neat in the sun. Really cool and windy at the beach...not necessarily ideal swimming weather. Plus, a nearby tropical storm was stirring up the sea quite a bit...

Took our friend to the Boardwalk in Wildwood last night. It was the first time for him on an East Coast boardwalk; his other experiences had been in California.
