Many of us can remember our childhood toys & some of those treasures stick out a little more than others. The Jack-In-The Box toy has been around for a long time, as far back as the late 1800's, & has been thrilling kids ever since it's debut.
Always activated by turning a lever or handle, many of the very early Jack-In-The Boxe's, were made of paper or woods, & just didn't survive the years very well. These toys are now collectibles & some considered as antiques by many.

Every generation for the past 100 years & more has enjoyed this neat toy. Today, companies such as Fisher Price, Hasbro, Ideal, are all till making Jack-In-The Box toys. They are all made of plastic today as child safety regulations have changed over the years. But the excitement & all the action are contained within this neat little toy that all children seem to love!

And if you are interested collecting the older Jack-In-The Boxes, you will have to hunt very well. There just aren't a lot of the very old ones available any more. Lots of the early Fisher Price models are, however, becoming quite collectible. Shopping around at garage sales, flea markets, estate sales, can provide some interesting finds!
Many of us will never forget that special thrill when the top flew open & Jack popped out! Yes, Jack-In-The Boxes are going to be around for a long, long, time!
