A few days ago I was helping a friend to set up a blog and I was surprised by the poor information that he had regarding the tools to work on the Internet. Not only I had to explain to him how to create the blog (which for me was as common as opening a sheet in Word) but also I have to explain him that there are free image hosting site s.
It is truth that there are some things very difficult to explain, but I was surprised that he did not know how much things it can done on the Internet and the benefits to have a hosting service of images, especially considering that my friend is a newspaper photographer . Well, I began to browse and search and I put the keywords "free image host" and "hosting images" in Google and appears two of the most popular sites in Canada.
ImageHosting.com (www.imagehosting.com) and Canada Photo Host (www.canadaphotohost.com) were the two pages that I chose to teach him how to upload his images to get a link (which he used on his blog).
When I finished helping to put all together in the blog I realized that he didn’t pay attention to these sites and that it is possible that he don’t used this tool no more… but at least I tried it…
