Today we have so much variety in the music that we listen to. So many different noises to listen to today that just did not exist many years ago. Our choices have never been greater & we are absorbing as much as we possibly can. And all that is because, musical instruments are changing too. Guitars are being designed & re-designed all the time, always seeking for something very special. A new sound-a new feeling-it mean's new music. Jazz players, Bluesmen, Rock & Rollers, have more options today when choosing a guitar, & many have chosen the Ibanez. It's performance, it's feel, & it's looks, all make Ibanez an interesting option.
In the late 1970's, Ibanez came out with a whole new line of guitars. They were known as The Iceman Series & The Performer Series, 2 great guitars to go along with each series. The quality & the workmanship that went into these guitars is evident, as many are still in existence today.
Guitar players can be choosy & Ibanez knew that, so they just continued to expand their line. The Artist Series included 6 great guitars & the Musician Series, another 4. The diversity was in line with heavy competition from other major guitar producers & distributors.
5 more guitars emerged from the Studio Series, including the ST1200, a super 12 string guitar that had a sound that was unmistakable! The Roadster Series, late 1970's, featured some great bass guitars too!
And some big names have played the Ibanez guitars professionally as well. Names like Daryll Stuermer of Genises, Jim Cregan of the Rod Stewart Band, Bob Welch, Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers, as well as Alphonso Johnson. Many rock stars have been using Ibanez Electric & Acoustic Guitars for years!
Today a musician has a lot more choices than 20 or 30 years ago. Guitar manufacturer's know a lot more today about the needs & requirements of musicians. They know what it takes to produce good music & they continue to develop new models regularly.
Ibanez has now joined the names of top guitar makers in developing a vast variety of musical instruments.
