If you haven't, there are a number of organizations that will help you get in touch with old friends. You can look online for reunion organizations.
Of course these people have changed just as much as you have, only you still have the old image of them in your head.Try looking for them on one of those online high school reunion sites to see if any of my old classmates are members, but then you might think about how silly it is to spend money on something so mundane, but if you do find that old best friend, well then, can you really put a price on friendship? Do you remember being very big on high school sports and always cheering the team on. were all your friends in sports too. Was your boyfriend at the time was on the bc high school football team? Wouldn't it be nice to see all these people that influenced your life so much? How many of them still live in canada and how many of them have traveled to other parts of the world. Did your friends play on the high school baseball team. Did he ever make it to the baseball leagues like he wanted to? It is fun to reminisce about old high school times.
