Have you ever wanted to be a guest at a bed and breakfast? The bed and breakfast has existed since the beginning of mankind. Traditionally monasteries served as the bed and breakfast and in some cases still do.A bed and breakfast is generally a home that has been converted to accept visitors and travelers. For many years the guests shared a bathroom with the family. Meals where shared with the owners of the home. Today the bed and breakfast industry has transformed. Rooms are luxurious and have private baths. Many bed and breakfasts are historical homes where people want to be a part of that history and learn about it. Some B&B´s in the United States date as far back as the early settlers. If you are a guest at a bed and breakfast you will recieve luxurious, elegant service. You will be treated like a very important royalty. Most bed and breakfasts make you feel at home and welcome. They are much more pleasant than the local hotels and motels and are more social if you are traveling alone. There was a tv show on the travel channel a couple of weeks ago that showed the difference between the service at a bed and breakfast to that of a hotel like the embassy suites, or the quality inn.
I have even noticed a tv show that features the best bed and breakfasts in Canada and the U.S. In fact I believe it is a tv series.
