Over time a few common words have been promoted to proper names. To this day, Skidoo is still synonymous of snowmobile, no matter the brand; and because Frigidaire popularized the refrigerators we commonly called them Fridge, regardless of who made them. No doubt Google is about to become one of those... for several reasons. Either one uses Explorer or Firefox, the opening page is usually Google Search; Are we looking for photos... we know there's a good chance to find what we seek through Google Image Search; we'll enjoy discovering the world with Google Earth and will likely call on Google Maps to find our way in a foreign city. Over the last few years Google has become a part of our life... and a tremendous help to the consumers we all are. We'll use it to search the Web for the best deals to travel, to identify our current health problem or look for websites to download free music or the latest free video games. For advertisers the world over, Google adsense is now a must, and Websites are basically useless unless they can be found through a Google search. Until something better comes around, Google is no doubt the easiest and most efficient mean to shop in the widespread streets of our global village.
