Most people that work in the IT field, legal field should walk around with a glossary in hand. So they can explain their terminology to the average layman.
A glossary is defined as a brief definition of the words used in any given text, and most books either have one or should have one included with them. Even computer books have a glossary for terms that are used in the computer field. Most fields need some type of glossary today. When talking about metaphysics, or languages or even dreams. there are so many new terms that we have a need for glossaries or dictionaries to interpret those terms. Even if discussing the world of dreams there is a need for what we call teh dream dictionary. If you are reading about the mexican american war, or, even about the history of San Antonio Texas, you will need a spanish to english dictionary, in order to understand simple terminology. When reading a medical report you will either need it to come with a medical glossary or you will need to pick up a dictionary that defines medical terminology. And if you have an imminent law suite for one reason or another you will probably need a legal dictionary to understand all the legal terminology used in the law suit.
