G Unit is top of Hip Hop that has dominated the American pop culture scenes for the last thirty years. Hip Hop includes rapping, DJing, graffiti writing and break dancing. There have been many groups that have emerged over years, including Jay-Z’s Rockafella Records and Dr. Dre’s G-Funk. The G Unit, in recent years, has surfaced thanks to the efforts of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo.
G Unit is an American Hip Hop group originating from New York City. They emerged on the New York scene by independently releasing several G Unit mixtapes. Today they produce G Unit wear. The most popular of their gear are G Unit Shoes. They produce everything from sneakers to G Unit hats.
The group’s founding members, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo all grew up on the same block. They rapped and sold drugs together. When 50 Cent was spotted and signed to a label, both Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo worked hard on mix tapes in order to gain attention as artists themselves. 50 Cent was later dropped from his label after being shot in front of his grandmother’s house.
After being shot, 50 Cent signed to Interscope Records and due to the success of his commercial debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, he was granted his own record label. This was when G Unit was created. The group worked hard and released several mix tape series which earned them a lot of attention in the rap industry. The most prominent of these being 50 Cent Is The Future, God’s Plan, No Mercy and Automatic Gunfire. G Unit also started a mix tape series with their DJ, DJ Whoo Kid, called G Unit Radio.
The G Unit Clothing Company was established in 2003, when 50 Cent teamed up with Marc Ecko, the founder of Eckō Unlimited, to create a line of clothing and accessories inspired by 50 Cent and fellow members of G Unit. The company has released G Unit wear including G Unit shoes and G Unit clothes. 50 Cent has stated that the G Unit Clothing Company is quality clothing. Some profits from the company are used to sponsor The Book Bank Foundation. G Unit Wear showcases G Unit hats and G Unit sneakers. You can find G Unit clothes online at www.g-unitclothing.com.
