Energy in nuclear fusion

Nuclear fusion refers to the process in which multiple like-charged nuclei join together to form a heavier nucleus. This leads to release or absorption of vast quantities of energy. Iron and nickel produce the highest amounts of energy in nuclear fusion. Nuclear power energy is enormous and if not properly controlled can lead to serious repercussions. It also portends serious environmental impact that environmentalists have been quick to campaign for its abolition. Nuclear fusion is thought to occur naturally in the stars and even the sun’s energy is derived from nuclear fusion. Nuclear power is however enormous and one nuclear station can generate up to 1000 megawatts enabling a country to become self sufficient in energy. There are strict rules to be followed before one installs a nuclear power station.

What is Cold Fusion? It refers to low energy reaction or condensed matter nuclear science. This field is still in the experimental phase and the scientists themselves haven’t agreed on what properly constitutes a cold fusion. Cold fusion has wide applications in the multimedia industry such as in the production of herniated disc. This technology has certainly enabled the revolutionalisation of the multimedia sector.
