Football seems to have two definitions for people living either in North America or... the rest of the world. In Europe, football is like soccer to us. Manchester United football is a soccer team in Great Britain very popular amongst our friends overthere. The Arsenal football club is also one of many good football teams in England. At last, so is the Liverpool football club who has just been bought by two Americans, one who owns the Montreal Canadiens and the other one owns the Dallas stars, two of the most famous hockey teams in North America. World Cup football is the most popular sports event in the world with the Superbowl a very close second. In the USA' Michigan State football is where many of the future stars of the NFL come from. There's also the Virginia tech football team which provides a great source of talent for the big league. Florida State football is certainly one of the best also.
