Every start of the cold season the young and old and those with impaired immunity systems are encouraged to take the flu shot in order to prevent fatalities in case of the flu. The flu shot contains antibodies that will fight the flu virus if it does get into the body. The young and very old are at a high risk because their immunity systems are not as strong.
Symptoms of the flu include headaches, a running nose, and high body temperature, lack of appetite, muscle weakness and difficulty concentrating. There are many drugs to deal with the flu. It is important to know that most of the drugs do not kill the flu virus but alleviate the worst signs and symptoms of the flu in order to give the body a chance to fight the flu. Drugs like Tylenol cold and flu amongst others will reduce headache, lower temperature and even make it easier to fall asleep and rest; very important in order to fight the flu.
The avian influenza virus is very similar to the common flu but it is more deadly and spread even faster than the common flu. It is important to keep good hygiene practises to avoid spreading the flu.
