The State of Florida is part of the United States of America. It is bordered to the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama, to the west by the Gulf of Mexico and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Its northernmost point is the border with Alabama near the town of Marianna and its southernmost point is the island of Key West. Its highest peak (105 meters, 345 feet) is Britton Hill. The state capital is Talahasee, its largest city is Miami.
Several cities in Florida are amongst the world's most-travelled tourist destinations, such as Daytona Beach, St Petersburg,Florida in the Tampa Bay area, West Palm Beach,Florida and Orlando as well as Fort Lauderdale.
For travel opportunities, many agencies offer Florida vacation rentals. Or florida condo rentals. They also offer Florida vacation packages. The best places to visit are the numerous beaches, Disneyland, Universal Studios and Marineland in Orlando as well as the Kennedy Space Center, the launching spot for the Space Shuttle (barely 45 minutes from Orlando).
Florida vacation homes, such as timeshares, are offered for sale or for rent throughout the United States and Canada.
