Most fashion design begins with fashion sketches. In fact that is one of the ways of professors use to practice drawing skills. Most fashion sketches are done in short periods of time, probably about a 10-minute drawing. Many fashion magazines have to include a few artist or they must free lance contract them when they need fashion sketches. Fashion magazines have large amounts of archives, because fashion trends just change too quickly. It would be interesting to know where they archive all of their photographs. Designers tend to have the same problem with their out dated designer clothes? They need to keep a sample of everything they have ever designed, so they must have large warehouses. Sometimes, they give designer shoes and fashion clothes away to good will, or other charitable organizations. Its a shame to thing of some of the designer fashion clothing ending up at good will for about a buck or two, but that's good news for low income households.
Does the same thing happen to designer jewelry? Many Jewellery designers tend to store a lot of their designer jewellery in special storage rooms created for that purpose. They save some of their favourite designs, give a lot of it away to their friends, but usually what ever they don't sell sits in a drawer collecting dust in their work room. The good thing is that, it is easier to store jewellery than dresses.
