Fabric, the material of our lives! Fabric is the material that is in constant touch with our skin. It is what we touch and feel and reaches our senses from the moment we are born to the moment we die. Natural fibers and thereby fabrics have been in existence for thousands of years. It is known that the first natural fiber was wool used over 4000 years ago. As time evolves so does fabric evolve. And we invend and discover new types of manufactured fibers and so fabrics. The more we know about fabrics the better, softer and more resilient fabrics we want. Thats why it is so important that the fabric industry continue to evolve and make softer more resilient fabrics. These fabrics can then be used to manufacture clothes, apolstery material, and even curtain materials. There are different fabrics made for different uses.Most clothing is made from cotton fabric or a mixture of cotton and linen fabrics. curtain fabric can be soft and filmy like that of silk fabric, or even cotton fabric. There is a heavier fabric that is made for apolstery use including plastic and leather fabric material. There are many places you can buy fabric. You can get it at a specialty fabric store, or even an online fabric store. If you are in the apolstery business you will probably need to visit the discount fabric stores or a wholesale fabric store.
