You remember the energizer battery ads; well they are not to far from the truth. Read on, to find out why.
The energizer battery was invented by an employee named Lewis Urry in 1959 and now holds 55% of the battery market. Lewis Frederick Urry was born in 1927 and passed away in 2004. He was a Canadian chemical engineer and inventor. He invented both the lithium ion battery and the alkaline battery while he was working for the Eveready battery company.
In order to sell his idea of the alkaline battery, he put the battery in a toy car and raced it around a canteen with another toy car using the old type of battery. He did this to show how the alkaline battery outlasted the older battery. His battery had a lot more durability. In 1982 Eveready began to market the new battery. Later the battery was bought out by energizer.
Today his invention has evolved into the energizer rechargeable batteries we know. We use rechargeable batteries in some electronic equipment like digital cameras and such. The rechargable batteries led to our producing the battery pack, and the energizer nimh battery charger. The rechargeable battery has led to the invention of the computer, and cell phone batteries we use so much today. The rechargeable battery is made in every size imaginable from the one that recharges a 9-volt battery to what we know as the battery chargers.

Another day stuck indoor, another ridicolous picture uploaded :-/ But hey, I vowed to be more active on flickr right? =P I swear, as soon as I get my exams over with this June, I'll go out and try shooting some interesting pictures instead of boring ones like I've been doing lately! =P I was actually just testing out the exposure but before I was able to paint a better one, the torch light ran out off battery.. And due to saving up for a Nikon D80, I am too poor to get some more :P
Fired SB600 at 1/32 power a couple of times, I dont know what effect that had on the photo, but I did it anyways..
P/S: LED torch light was wayyyy better for light painting, but I lost that one :(
Nikon D40.. 18-55mm lens.
