Psychologists tell us that Dreams are the thoughts and images we experienced while sleeping. Although there is a scientific study of dreams known as Oneirology , we have not fully understood the dream purpose and the dream meaning.
There are dictionaries available in the market that claim to offer dream meanings and dream interpretations.They even go the extent of classifying dreams and offer Western, Oriental, Islamic and Vedic dream interpretations – to name a few.
Dream interpreters contend that dreams contain significant information, throwing light on what has happened earlier in our lives, what is presently happening and providing insights about things to come. In many ancient traditions dreams were considered by dream interpreters as messages from the gods.
Most of us consider being in a dream state as being in an ideal state – as we often refer to ideal jobs as dream jobs and ideal romantic meetings as dream dates.

Incidentally, some of you may be aware, Dream Job was an American Reality TV show hosted by Stuart Scott and aired by ESPN.a couple of years back. This was the first reality show from a network to offer its winner an on-air place on one of its shows.
