Dragons were always part of our dreams, but I really got to know them better when reading the wonderful Dragonlance book series, by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman. Maybe youngsters don't read all that much these days, but they have other means, and dragons are more than ever part of their life. They play dungeons & dragons online , enjoy the dungeon and dragons comic books. They can find hundreds of pictures of dragons on the web, and are familiar with the various breeds, from the Fantasy to the komodo dragons. I noticed that boys and girls alike are thrilled when they get dungeons and dragons miniatures for Christmas and I'm sure that, like we did, they dream to witness the legendary flight of the dragons someday. From books, to games, to movies, dragons are more than ever part of our life. Some even claim that the pretty chinese water dragons are heirs to the mighty beasts of the past. I don't know about that but, let's be nice to the little ones, just to be on the safe side.
