From the early 1940s was the very first animated cartoon from Japan or what is commonly called "Anime". Near the mid 80s, many stories were released as Japanese animated shows and comics or most likely called "Mangas". One of them truly marked world wide, the history of anime: the famous Dragonball series.
Created by the renowned comic artist or "Mangaka" Akira Toriyama in 1984, those mangas broke a record for the best-seller across the globe. With more than 40 volumes and over 500 episodes, the series soon became one of the greatest hit for mangas and anime.
The first chapter of this anime, known as Dragonball, follows the adventure of a young boy named Goku. With a look slightly more primitive than its sequels Dragonball Z and GT, it was and is still today extremely popular among anime fans. Dragonball Z, second chapter in the series, made it to North America with an astonishing success. Hundreds of products from this chapter were brought on the market like toys, video games, clothes. Available at several stores and on dozens of websites, Dragonball Z toys extend the experience of the anime with amazing action figures of all our favorite characters. As another addition, 13 Dragonball Z movies were released offering the fans a great deal of new and exciting side stories. As for the anime itself, uncut Dragonball Z Dvd are being released from Vegeta's Saga to the famous Buu's Saga. Rumors of a Dragonball Z live action movie have been spreading throughout the web for some time now, something that would please many!
