Let’s face it; we live in a world full of doors. They open and they close, end of story. But doors are more than just openings; they provide us with security and privacy as well as opening up opportunities. Whenever you are looking at a new home, or thinking of home improvements for your self always look at both the aesthetics of doors and door security.
Just as eyes are the window to the soul, a door is there to let people in or let them out. A door can also be there to keep in warmth or create a private atmosphere. Interior doors are just as important for our sense of privacy as exterior doors are. There are times when you know you need to rely on a door to say “NO ENTRY”
Inside the home adults often need privacy from other people. There is nothing wrong with having a lock on your bedroom door. Be aware though that if you are going to use interior doors with locks smoke alarms are an absolute necessity.
Most of us though are more concerned with the need to keep burglars and other strangers out. In this day and age it is imperative that windows and doors are completely lockable and secure. Unfortunately homes are burgled every day. It is no longer enough just to have a key that will open your front door. You need a completely safe deadlock for any exterior door in your home.
While this can seem an expensive option and a little pessimistic, if you have items of value in your home the cost is well worth it. If that new home entertainment cost you, say, $3,000 and you can’t afford to spend $200 to make sure your exterior doors are secure you have no one to blame but yourself.

Far be it for me to be scare- mongering but the peace of mind from having secured locks on your exterior doors has got to be just straight up good value for money.
