Dogs are known to be men's best friend. They are very useful because they have helped humans in many ways. For example, dogs were used to keep sheep, to protect homes and to hunt. Today, there exist many different breeds of dogs and each of them has a unique purpose.

The golden retriever dog is a versatile breed of dog. It can be used for hunting or for guiding blind people. It is also an excellent family companion because this type of dog loves children and likes to play with them. It is very calm and it always seems to be happy. However, golden retriever dogs require sufficient exercise because they have a tendency to gain weight very easily.

The German shepherd dog serves people a lot. In fact, it is used in search-and-rescue, police army and sentry. These dogs are known for their intelligence, trainability and adaptability. These dogs are sensible and they are completely devoted to their family. It has been claimed that the German shepherd dog has the intelligence of a seven-year-old child.

The Bernese mountain dog is also a great family dog because of its sweet and happy temperament. This breed is used to guide blind people and, in the past, they were farm workers and flock guardians.

If you want to adopt a dog, I strongly suggest you to read about the different breeds and to choose a dog that will meet your needs. Buying a dog is a serious thing, you have to think about it and make the right choice.
