The Disney Cruise Line is part of the Walt Disney Company and its headquarters are situated in Celebration, Florida. Its president is Tom McAlpin.
The Disney Cruise Line owns two ships: The Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder. The Disney Magic cruise is a seven-day itinary in which 2,400 guests go to Disney's Private Island(Castaway Cay), St. Marteen, St. Thomas, Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The Disney Wonder cruise ship is Magic's sister ship. It was put in service in 1999 and it was designed to accomodate families.
In 2007, the Disney Magic cruise ship will offer a special itinary that will be departing from Barcelona in Spain. The ship will go to Palermo, Naples, Olbia, Civitavecchia, La Spezia, Marseilles, Villefrance, Cadiz, Gibraltar and Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. This cruise will be either be 10 or 11 nights.
The Disney Cruise Line will add two new ships to its fleet in 2011 and 2012. These ships will be built by Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. They will have 1,250 staterooms each. They have not yet been named.
